Application timing and fees
Choosing your start date early gives you the widest range of options. For Botucatu, the application fee depends on how far ahead your intended start is:
- 25 weeks or more before the intended start: regular one-time application fee.
- 12 weeks to less than 25 weeks before the intended start: one-time rush application fee, replacing the regular application fee.
- Less than 12 weeks before the intended start: that date is too close for the programme, but we can help you explore a later start.
Education and accommodation fees, where applicable, are quoted separately as monthly amounts. We’ll gladly send you information about current fees and recommended timing for the period you have in mind.
Botucatu and accommodation
Botucatu is a university city in the interior of São Paulo state, approximately 235 km from the city of São Paulo. The teaching-hospital campus is in the Rubião Júnior area. Long-distance travel commonly involves a bus connection; routes and travel times vary, so check current transport arrangements before booking.
FMB/UNESP does not currently provide a university dormitory for international students, but there are private rooms, studio apartments and shared housing options in Botucatu. After your placement is accepted, Med’oPolo can share recommendations to help you explore available accommodation. Providers set their own availability, terms and prices.
