Student Housing at St. Anne Catholic Hospital
MedoPolo International medical internships offers student housing in Damongo at St. Anne Catholic Hospital for selected periods through our partners of the MUSTANGH Foundation. The accommodation provides a safe and comfortable living environment for visiting medical students. Through our partners, we offer housing on the hospital premises in single / double rooms (depending on availability) for up to four students. The MUSTANGH house thus allows for a close-knit yet private experience.
The MUSTANGH House
The student residence includes two bathrooms, a shared living room with seating and a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a storage area. This setup ensuring that students have everything they need for daily life during their clinical rotations. A garden offers a pleasant outdoor space to relax after a day at the hospital under the banana trees.
The support staff maintains the student housing to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Dedicated housekeepers manage cleaning and prepare meals for lunch – often providing traditional local dishes to give students an authentic cultural experience. In addition, a resident security officer is often present to ensure safety and oversee the property. The housing arrangement covers all utility costs (including gas, water and electricity) as part of the housing arrangement. Upon booking confirmation about 3 months ahead of the intended internship starting date, we will send you an invoice to cover for your rental contribution to support maintenance and staffing. Placement in a single or double room depends on availability.
The “Wall of Fame” in the living room is a unique feature of the student residence. This wall showcases all students who have previously stayed in the house. Through this wall, the residence fosters a sense of community and connection among international students. The living space includes with a music system for leisure and social activities, such contributing to a supportive and welcoming environment.

Other Housing Options
In addition to on-site housing, select students may have an option to arrange a homestay with local hospital staff. This alternative offers an immersive cultural experience and the opportunity to live within the community while participating in clinical rotations. The local team is available to assist students with finding suitable accommodations and to provide guidance throughout their stay. We and our partners help to ensure that each student’s housing experience is safe, comfortable and culturally enriching.
