The MedoPolo Medical Rotation Program pursues the goal of offering medical students from across the globe easy access to clinical medical rotations of uniform and high quality. Our focus is to sustain the possibility to attend independent from existing university partnerships at reasonable costs for our students. We sustain the necessary logistics with our international team to respond to any unforeseen problems for any of our students in a flexible and goal-oriented manner. Thus far, we have helped over 1200 students originating from more than 25 different countries to pursue an educational experience abroad over the last decade already – while being able to maintain a student-friendly pricing structure and always being there when needed.
The MedoPolo Medical Internship started its development out of the Education Office and the International Clinical Rotation Program of the Shanghai East (Oriental) Hospital, which has been our largest project. Over the years, several additional faculties offering our clinical rotation programs joined as the Med’oPolo network grew over the years.
MedoPolo actively involves in custom-tailored curriculum development and research in International Medical Education from its very beginnings in 2010. We actively advise our partners on the development of curricula designed for the exact needs of our international medical students. Thus, MedoPolo actively supports ongoing curriculum revision to ensure the highest quality and best educational experience for every one of our international medical students. Curriculum development incorporates the adoption of innovative new approaches out of our research work in cooperation with leading universities in the field. Revisions are always based on our student’s feedback and are discussed with all partners at least once per annum. We are also searching to develop additional programs all over the world and are in contact with several future partners on all continents.
All of the MedoPolo Programs work on a self-funding basis. We strieve to sustain affordable costs for the enrolled students, which is an active process. As such, MedoPolo invests much work and logistics into the development of new rotation programs able too meet our high accreditation standards on the one hand, but are also capable to continue to offer all programs at reasonable costs to our students on the other hand. Our own ‘MedoPolo Scholarship Program’ is open to select students from our partner-universities to enable their participation in our clinical rotations at even lower costs. The organization of the student rotations is achieved at most through volunteer work of the entire MedoPolo team.
Through our spread all over the world team and internal logistics, we are always there for all enrolled students and will respond to any unforeseen problems with the necessary flexibility and innovation.
