In the following, all information you need for application are listed. Please send us all of the following electronic documents to apply:
- Letter of recommendation and good standing from your university / medical school
- Academic transcript of your university / medical school
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of motivation and personal exspectations (about 4-5 pages in length)
- Photocopy of passport (we can NOT accept National ID Cards!)
- Passport-style picture for your student-ID
- Application Form (download link)
- Vaccination Card (including Proof of Yellow-Fever Vaccination!)
- Proof of Health insurance (covering your stay in Ghana)
- Bank Receipt for the transfer of the Application Fee
Application Medical Internships Ghana:
Please note that the application process is solely electronic. Therefore, no original documents are required. Please submit your complete application after you have spoken with your foreign student office of your home university and cleared up all prior questions with us. The application fee is non-refundable.
- Most importantly, please observe the deadline for application at the latest 6 month prior to the intended starting date of your internship.
- St. Anne Catholic Hospital in Damongo does NOT offer any dormitory for international students. The hospital staff will arrange for local home-stay opportunities or we will assist you in getting a placement in student housing from a partnering institution on the hospitals premises for the duration of your stay.
- It is mandatory and your responsibility to obtain suitable health insurance covering your entire stay in Ghana. Proof of insurance must be presented upon arrival; failure to provide this will prevent the start of your internship.

Program Accreditation:
Applicants are solely responsible for confirming that their home institution will accept the internship credits. Med’oPolo International Elective Programs cannot guarantee credit approval, as regulations greatly vary by university. We strongly recommend discussing your plans with your university prior to submission.
We can also liaise directly with your home university’s responsible office if needed.
