International Medical Internship Program

History:

Botucatu Medical School was founded 50 years ago.

Renowned as a Brazilian and international standard of teaching, research and extension services, Botucatu Medical School offers undergraduate programs in Medicine and Nursing, 39 medical residency programs, 52 professional development programs, and 10 stricto sensu graduate programs. Undergraduate studies include Medicine (90 places a year) and Nursing (30 places a year), gathering 775 graduate students, and over 500 teaching and technical staff.

Lato sensu graduate studies cover the areas of medical residency and professional development. Medical Residency includes 357 residents, while the Professional Development Program, destined to prepare professionals other than physicians, has more than 80 students.

Graduate programs include Master and Doctorate Academic

Programs and Professional Master Programs. The Academic Programs of Botucatu Medical School aim to prepare highly qualified human resources for research and academic teaching and to promote scientific and technological development in several knowledge areas. Professional Master Programs are focused on professional development to produce applied knowledge in the form of technological advances and/or innovation in Health.

Botucatu Medical School receives and sends students for Post-doctoral and Doctoral studies.
